Default Automatic incrementing

I am using Office 2002. I would like to make the first column of a
spreadsheet ,a date field, automatically increment to the next date on each
row. Any ideas how I can do this?

Default

Put the date in A1 and put
=A1+1
in A2

And drag down.

You could even hide it until you put something in column B.

=if(b2="","",a1+1)
