1. In Excel 98 I could keep things in icon view and they would remain
alphabetical in recent documents. Now I can't seem to lock this view in. Anyone know how? 2. Also in the same menu, it used to show 40 or more items, now it only shows 16, can this be changed? |

For the number of items have you tried Tools - Options | General Tab |

The most you can enter is 9. And that only applies to the drop down menu
from "File". Probably need to raise this question in an Windows Operating System forum as

I am trying to do this in Excel, under "File", "Open", "My Recent Documents"
However I will see if I can copy this questions to the other forum. Is there a way I can transfer my original question to another discussion
