Hi,
I wonder if you can help? At work I use Excel 2007 on my PC which is connected to a windows 2003 server. I have opened up all the Macro/VBA security settings on Excel 2007 but I can still not run macros or visual basic editor. The related icons on the Developer tab on the ribbon remained greyed out. I have asked the network guy at work if there is something on the windows 2003 server that is preventing me from running Macros or the VBA editor on my PC. All I got from the network guy was a blank sustained glare. Is there some secret setting 'somewhere' on the PC or the Server that is preventing me from running Macros or VBA editor in Excel 2007? Thanks for your help Martin |

Hi,
When you first open a file in 2007, Excel displays a security bar if there are macros in the file, you need to click Options and then Enable content. If this doesn't work, let us know. -- Thanks, Shane Devenshire "Martin" wrote: Hi, I wonder if you can help? At work I use Excel 2007 on my PC which is connected to a windows 2003 server. Martin
If Alt F11 doesn't show the VBAIDE: You could be locked out via Office admin policy (.adm files). Ask whoever looks after your client machines if that is the case. Does existing code in existing workbooks run? If not Office 2007 could have been installed without VBA, rare but possible. Do other people have VBA? Do any other Office products have a working VBA on your machine? hth Cheers Simon Blog: www.smurfonspreadsheets.net Martin wrote: Hi, I wonder if you can help?
