Default can't see font colours and fill colour on screen

I have Excel 2003. When I change a font colour or shade/fill a cell, I can't
see it on the screen.....I have to go into print preview to see it. How do I
fix it?

If you have Windows XP, click on Start | Control Panel | Accessibility
Options | Display tab | uncheck the "Use high contrast" box | OK.
