Default Remove "Subfilter" Icon Needed

Greetings. I am using MS Excel 2007 (beta), and it's a peach, to say the
least. I especially like the improved filtering functions. There is one
thing, however, that I hope you will include in the final version scheduled
to come out next year.

When I filter the contents of a particular cell (right mouse click, filter
by selected cell's value, etc.), and then in a different column filter on the
contents of another cell within this first filter, I get another smaller
"subfilter," of course. After doing something to the contents in this
subfilter (filling in a blank, for example), I want to go back to the first
filter. I don't want to clear all filters (there is an icon on the ribbon
for that), I only want to clear the current filter (the subfilter). To do
this (clearing the subfilter) I have to go to the top of the column, click on
the filter icon, whereupon a "box" opens, and then I have to click on "Clear
Filer from "...". Then I am back to the first filter.

Is there any way this process could be streamline or speeded up, say by
including a shortcut key or by having an option to customize the ribbon so as
to include a "Clear Subfilter from "..." icon? I know it sounds like I'm
spoiled, but I will have to use filters and subfilters frequently, and having
this feature would save a lot of keystrokes.

Hi Rebecca

You could perhaps create your own.
Switch on the macro recorder as you make your selections to go back one
filter level.
Allocate shortcut keystroke to this macro, or place a button on your
toolbar and allocate the macro to the button.
