How do I open an e-mail spreadsheet with the extension .xls ?

Default opening a spreadsheet

The best way is to right click the attachment and use saveas to the folder
of your choice. Then open with excel.

You do have excel??

And if you don't have Excel, download the free Excel viewer from he
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=EN
(if line is split, cut and paste as a single entry in your web browser)

Then you can do as Don Guillet suggested, save as and open with the viewer.
You won't be able to work with it, but you will at least be able to examine
it.
