![]() Hi, I have a master document which includes training information for all employess. Currently, we have tabs for each employee (small company), which describes all of their daily/weekly tasks. The problem is that you can't edit the file if someone else has it open. We'd like to create an individual spreadsheet for each employee and still be able to display them in the master document. Is there a way to pull all the data from the individual spreadsheets into the master document? I know you can link individual cells from multiple documents, but because we don't know how big each person's document may be, we need to link the entire document. Sorry if I'm not very clear, I'll answer any questions to try and clarify further. Thanks -- shozil ------------------------------------------------------------------------ shozil's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=28679 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=483580 |

Hi shozil,
The problem you state is that you cannot edit the document if someone else is working on it. Is making the document a shared workbook an option? This will allow multiple users full access at the same time if that is the only issue. It can be done by clicking the Allow changes... check box through ToolsShare Workbook menu. It does have some minor drawbacks, but works well overall. "shozil" wrote: Hi, I have a master document which includes training information for all employess.
