Default Totalling Colum

Hi

I have this spreadsheet and want a total at the bottom of the column
that totals only 2007 or 2008

2007 WRRE01 WR 0.00
2008 WRRE02 WR 0.00
2007 WRVS01 WRVS 62.40
2008 WRVS01 WRVS 4,084.31
2007 YORK01 YORKS 0.00
2008 YORK02 YORKS 0.00

Total for 2007 only

Total for 2008 only

Default Totalling Colum

Hi

Take a look at Pivot Tables.
assuming your data is in columns A:D, ensure that in row 1 you have Headers,
e.g Year, Code, Description, Value
Place cursor in A1DataPivot TablesFinish
On the Pivot Table Skeleton that appears on a new sheet,
drag Year to the Column area,
drag Code to the Row area, followed by Description
drag Value to the Data area

If you don't want subtotals for Code and description, double click on the
field heading and change Subtotals to None
