Another technique you can adapt to suit your needs,

Put 1 in A1
Highlight A1 to A3
Grab the fill handle and drag to A30
Tap F5
Click Special
Check Blanks and OK
Type =
Tap the up arrow
Then hit Ctrl+Enter
