Default Not really new but baffled. Where do my posts disappear to??

Hi there,

I use this site quite a lot, but its more luck than judgement that I ever
see any of the replies I am sent.

I get sent an e-mail with a link to the replies that doesn't work, I search
for the question exactly as I wrote it and it isn't in the list, I try
searching by author but it doesn't know my username exists!!!!!!!!!

i must spend a good 15 minutes each time trying to find it, but so far I
have spent half an hour looking and can't find a single post I've ever put
in!!!

PLEASE HELP!!! without all the clever people on here my job would be sooo
painstakingly slow!

You need to ditch the web interface and use a newsreader.

But why would you say to "use a newsreader", and then reference Outlook
Express instead??? <g

All of which is a bit odd because I searched your posts and apart from this
one can only find 1 that you haven't responded to so presumably you found
those that you did respond to.

Sorry - don't get it :(

I do have a warped sense of humour ... "Why did the chicken cross the road?"
To visit the hedgehogs flatmate: Going in circles is just plain silly: It was playin'......chicken :)

Ok, I use Outlook Express and love it, I think Outlook sucks and haven't used it for several years, and if I never use it again, it will be 8 years to soon!

Compared to dedicated newsreaders (examples: Agent, Gravity), Outlook
Express has a rather limited feature set. It's weak on threading,
filters, tracking cross-posts, access to headers, etc.

Some of us (I suspect especially those of us who were reading news
before OE, or in my case, Agent, Gravity, or even Windows, existed)
consider OE a poor imitation of a "real" newsreader.

Many people appear to find it adequate, however.

De gustibus non disputandum est.
