The arrows displayed by Tools / Formula Auditing / Trace Precedents/
Dependents point to a formula's precedent/dependent cells in the SAME SHEET as the formula only. Precedents/dependents in other sheets in the workbook are not identified. Doesn't Excel have a 100% functional auditing mode or dialog? (Or, have I failed to install a Valu-Pak or add-in?) Thanks much. *** |

There should be an arrow pointing to a worksheet icon. When you double click
on the icon (for me it only works when double clicking on the bottom of the icon, right when the cursor changes from a + to an arrow), it should open up the goto dialog box with a listing of the external links. You can select a link from this dialog and XL will take you to it. JMB:
Thanks much for answer. And now that I see the answer, it's all too intuitive. I can't understand how I failed to empirically tried that solution before. Perhaps it's because I'm such a keyboard maven that I didn't think of trying simply clicking the dotted line and/or additional- sheet icon itself. And I also now see that this question is asked & answered quite frequently. Thanks again. *** |
