I'm attempting to type in a number and it is headed by 3 zeros. Excel keeps
converting to whole numbers. I need the number to be displayed exactly as I typed it. Thanks in advance. |

Format the cells as text before you type or precede the entry with an
apostrophe If the number of digits are always the same you can use a custom format like 000000 for 6 digits -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom "Determined07" wrote in message ... thanks. I right clicked, went to format cells, number-custom-000, and it's
still not allowing me to display as typed. all the cells will be uniform 000 with varying #s to follow. What am i doing wrong?
