One more question please......How can I change the
opening destination?
When I clicked on File/Open, it opened into the My
Doc's on the C drive
rather than the My Doc's on the E drive.

Strangely, you can't (Well there may be a setting in the registry, but not
wise)

Default Change auto destination in Save As ???

It does here. Both the Save As and File Open dialogs open to
the folder I have specified in File locations.

The one that bugs me and I can't change is the Insert Picture from file.
It always goes to the My Pictures folder in My Documents.

I use Excell 2000.

Regards
Martin

Staggeringly it does here too. Shows how much I open files through
FileOpen... maybe?

Yeah I tend to do most things from Windows Explorer with the
odd File Open here and there.

People are always telling me that it is more efficient to use shortcut
windows and drag and drop etc. Funnily enough the same people
always come to me when they are looking for lost files or when
folders and files get all muddled. The most common statement
is "I'm sure I saved it, but when I went back this morning it wasn't there.

Cheers
Martin

Where do I find the "File Locations" to make this
change?

We have decided the default file location under ToolsOptions...General,
works for both open and save. It will not obviously work for New... which
defaults to the template location

Default template locations must be changed in Word, I can't explain why.
<Tools, <Options, File locations tab.
