I have 2 sheets (sheet one and Sheet two)
On sheet ONE in col A I have a number of entries I want to be able to click on any one entry in sheet ONE and be taken to a brief explanation on Sheet TWO. Once on sheet TWO I would like to return to the starting point on Sheet ONE Ex: I cliick on A12 in Sheet ONE, that would take me to Sheet TWO a50 Once I have read the explantion on sheet TWO I would click on A50 in sheets TWO and return to sheet ONE a12 One complication is that the entries on sheet ONE will not ALWAY be in the same location due to a sorting process. I would appreciate any help you can give me Thanks |

The Hyperlink item on the Insert menu does what you want.
Select the cell for the hyperlink to appear in and click the menu item. A box opens with big buttons of the left side. Click the one that says "Places in this document". In the big white box, select the destination sheet. In the small box above it select the particular cell. Click OK. -- Jim Cone San Francisco, USA http://www.realezsites.com/bus/primitivesoftware "pcor" wrote in message I have 2 sheets (sheet one and Sheet two) On sheet ONE in col A I have a number of entries I want to be able to click on any one entry in sheet ONE and be taken to a brief explanation on Sheet TWO. Yes that is true...but.
It would be nice if as I leave sheet ONE the program could "rememebr" where I came from. That way I would not need a hyperlink back on EVERY entry in sheet two in order to return to the proper place on sheet ONE. If somehow when I clicked on an entry in sheet one, it recorded the location I was at so that when I click sheet two to return it could read that address. Try adding the Web toolbar and clicking the back (left) arrow.

Or you can use shortcut Alt+arrowleft
Or if you have a 5 button mouse, use the Back button --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "Jim Cone" wrote ...
