Default Beginners Question setting up spreadsheet

Hello,

I have a spreadsheet and the top roll has information that I need to be
able to see when I scroll down. How do I set it up so when I scroll
down the top roll or top couple of roll remain in place.

Thanks
PappyJoe

If the data you want visible is in row 1 then select row 2, go to the
window menu, then click on split, then go to window menu and click on
freeze pane.

Thanks, I tried that but when I did rolls 4-7 disappeared and just the
opposite of what I wanted to happen, happened. The bottom part of my
spread sheet froze and the top part would scroll. I must be doing
something wrong.

I got it. Once I changed the View from page layout to normal it
worked.

Thanks

WindowFreeze Panes is enough.

You don't need the Split.

Split and Freeze Panes are two separate functions.
