Default Remove hyperlink when pasting

I have someone in my group that is having a lot of trouble when pasting
a table generated from Mfg software. Basically her PC hangs (older PC
and no chance of upgrade).

The data is copied from a HTML table (export to Excel doesn't work
because the file isn't static). It is then pasted into a new Excel 2003
Wordsheet. Each cell in the table now has its own cell in Excel. The
first column is a hyperlink to view the drawing of the manufactured
part. Simple enough. However, I belive the hyperlinks are source of the
problem.

She can't use PasteSpecial because the data isn't pasted as a table.
Each row is pasted in one cell. I tried even going to Word first, but
that caused the same problem of hangs and crashes.

How can she paste the data from the clipboard into Excel and strip the
hyperlinks as it is pasting? It takes so long or crashes the PC when
she presses CTRL-V, that I wondered if there is a way to strip the
hyperlinks as it is pasting.

Any ideas??

Thanks,

KS
