='C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\FolderName\SubfolderName\[FileName.xls]SheetName!CellName That, in itself doesn't indicate how close to the 1024 limit you are sailing - depends on the actual names. If any of the names is particularly long it would be wise to shorten it by renaming. Moving files into the same folder would not in itself help unless the full path to the folder was shorter.
