I have two workbooks, each in its own file. The two files share common
data. Can I somehow combine the two workbooks into a single file, AND somehow get around entering the data twice into each workbook? Any help is greatly appreciated. Skip |

Skip --
Two things come to mind: 1) Simply copy the worksheets from one workbook into the other. 2) Redo the formulas in one workbook so that, when you open it, it looks to the other workbook to get the data. To do that, open the both workbooks. Select the cell in the 'target' workbook (the one PULLING the info). Start the formula with the '=' sign, and then click on the cell in the 'source' workbook (the one PROVIDING the info). You'll see what the formula looks like. Only problem -- both workbooks have to be open in order for this approach to work. HTH "Skip" wrote: I have two workbooks, each in its own file. The two files share common data.
