Default Problem using 'PROPER' with apostrophes

When using PROPER to capitalise text, how do you get "CAN'T" to become
"Can't" instead of "Can'T".

How odd! You could just replace it and then replace it back

=SUBSTITUTE(PROPER(SUBSTITUTE(A27,"'","QAZ")),"qaz ","'")
