Default displayed cell values

why do my logical formulas display a value of "1" or "0" instead of "TRUE" or
"FALSE"? this is only happening in some sheets, not all.

Please give an example of your formulas and the values of the precedent
cells.

Tom,

take a look at ToolsOptionsTransition and see if the Transition Formula
Evaluation box is checked. If so, uncheck it.
