Default Urgent SUMIF problem

Hi,

I have this excel assignment and I'm having trouble with the 2 last
questions:
- Total non-SONY sales ($):
- Total SONY sales ($):

Could you also confirm the other 2 formulas I wrote?
- Total Units of PANASONIC sold:
=SUMIF(B5:B7;"PANASONIC";C5:C7)+SUMIF(B9;"PANASONI C";C9)
- Total Units of non-SONY sold:
=SUMIF(B6:B8;"<SONY";C6:C8)+SUMIF(B10;"<SONY";C1 0)

I copied my excel chart to word in the attached document

A B C D
E
4 DAY BRAND UNITS SOLD UNIT PRICE BOROUGH
5 Mon. SONY 6 $500,00 Queens
6 Tue. PANASONIC 5 $400,00 Bronx
7 Wed. ZENITH 20 $200,00 Brooklyn
8 Thurs. CLOSED FOR NATIONAL HOLIDAY
9 Fri. SONY 40 $500,00 Bronx

Total Units of PANASONIC sold: 5
Total Units of non-SONY sold: 25
Total non-SONY sales ($):
Total SONY sales ($):

If I could have an answer before the June 3rd that would be great !!!

Thanks,

Matt

Default Urgent SUMIF problem

You may ignore the merged cells in row 8, and write:
=SUMIF(B$5:B$9;"PANASONIC";C$5:C$9) for PANASONIC units

Same for non-SONY units:
=SUMIF(B$5:B$9;"<SONY";C$5:C$9)

See example: http://cjoint.com/?gbhTxLbPgB
