Default Problem with VLookUp Function

I have written the following experssion
=VLOOKUP($A$76,Sheet1!$B:$C,1)

Note "A76 = DRSSRAEXM002L:/C/"

Column1 "A" is the computer name e.g DRSSRAEXM002L:/C/ and column 2 "B"is a
status failed, completed etc etc...

the Result is the above expression should be DRSSRAEXM002L:/C/ what is
returned is DRSSRAEUC001L:System State i dont no why it is bringing back a
randomn result.
