Your concern is display and printout, so you don't really need the asterisks in the cells' contents. Since bar codes would be either positive integers or text, use the custom number format (yes, NUMBER format) \*0\*;;;\*@\* Positive numbers and text will display and print with delimiting asterisks. Format these cells in barcode font and you should be good to go. |
