Default CAN YOU HAVE THE TOP OF AN EXCEL SHEET HAVE DIFFERENT COLUMN WIDT.

is it possible to have one excel sheet with different colum widths. i guess
like having two excel sheets on one page?

Width is a column property and is the same top to bottom.

Depending upon why you need the differing widths........

You can enter text in say A1 then choose A1:F1 and
FormatCellsAlignmentHorizintalCenter across selection.

OR(and I hate to mention this) merge A1:F1 into one cell.

FormatCellsAlignmentMerge Cells or from Formatting Toolbar click the "merge
and center" button.

Note: only the contents of the left-most cell will be retained.

Merged cells cause many problems when it comes to copying, pasting, sorting
and other stuff.

No. The closest you could get would involve using merged cells, but
they introduce a lot of problems in calculations and operations like
sorting.
