Width is a column property and is the same top to bottom.
Depending upon why you need the differing widths........
You can enter text in say A1 then choose A1:F1 and
FormatCellsAlignmentHorizintalCenter across selection.
OR(and I hate to mention this) merge A1:F1 into one cell.
FormatCellsAlignmentMerge Cells or from Formatting Toolbar click the "merge
and center" button.
Note: only the contents of the left-most cell will be retained.
Merged cells cause many problems when it comes to copying, pasting, sorting
and other stuff.
