Hello,
I have an excel document that is linked to several other excel documents. I want to be able to enter information into one and have the other documents that are linked to the data update without having to open the file. Is there any way to do this? thanks |

Let Book1 contain the formula =Book2!A.
With Book1 closed I work on Book2 and save it. When next I open Book1 I will be asked if I want to update it. If I send a copy of Book1 to another user without opening it then it will not have the updated value. Maybe you could experiment with two books then with 3 and see if you get the effect you want. best wishes -- Bernard V Liengme www.stfx.ca/people/bliengme remove caps from email "Precise Eng" wrote in message ...
