File name changes to blue color
Why do some of my excel files show blue in color. They are no different from
any other files, just seems to be randomly allocating blue colors to some files. Also, why does Excel automatically save a file as "002" in its extension? They are annoying. Any ideas? Thanks. |

Using Windows XP OS, blue folder or filename means it is Compressed.
The 002 in its extension is not something I am familiar with, but I'll hazard a guess it is also a Windows thing. The trick now is to find what(who?) is compressing the files.

When compressed, do they run slower? Any other drawbacks?
