Default Do formulas in a table translate when sorted?

I have a table in excel that has formulas in the rows. When I sort the
table, the addresses in the formulas do not translate to the new location
after the sort. I am not using absolute addressing. This is confirmed
because the address do translate when I drag them to the next row. How can I
make the addresses translate after sorting?
