Every one has been very helpful with my problems for which I am very
thankful. I would like to learn more about writing formulas and functions. For some reason I can't seem to get answers from my help files. I may be asking the wrong questions. Anyway help on this would be appreciated. Thanks Ed |

The help files are mediocre at best. Get a good book, like John

i find help rather unhelpful at times too.The best way to learn about
functions is to insert a function,then look at the help for THAT function.Keep an eye on this forum copy examples and try them out on your own shets....you need to have a requirement for the function though otherwise its all pretty absract -- paul remove nospam for email addy! It's good to hear that the help file is meager instead of that my many

I have tried your suggestion but I always find myself unable to comprehend
the use of the single and double quotes etc. Thanks for your input.
