![]() Example: Row -- A ---- B 1 ----- 1 -- =*A1*/2 2 ----- 2 -- =*A2*/2 3 ----- 3 -- =*A3*/2 4 ----- 4 -- =*A4*/2 How can I change the A1, A2, etc to something more general like AX/2 where X is the row that it is in? Thanks, and sorry if this is too basic, I don't know what it is called that I am trying to do. -- windbreak ------------------------------------------------------------------------ windbreak's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=30763 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=504300 |

Excel automatically does this for you. In B1, type =A1/2
Copy it down and in B2, you should have =A2/2 ************ Hope it helps! Anne Troy www.OfficeArticles.com "windbreak" wrote in message ... ![]() Oh wow, simple. You're right, it does do that. I didn't know just copying/pasting like that would automatically change the row number. Thanks for your help! -- windbreak ------------------------------------------------------------------------ windbreak's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=30763 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=504300 |
