Default Microsoft Map Object

I want to superimpose quantitites on a map of the united states. You
used to be able to use something called Microsoft Map to do this in
Excel, but it now appears excel does not have this feature anymore.
Does anyone know if it is an add-in and whether it is freely available.
Or, is there some shareware that can enable this feature?
