Default time again

it seems that working with time is more complicated than one would think. i
would like to add a column of hours and minutes, to come up with a total of
hours and minutes.

b1 would be 1.50... 1 hr and 50 minutes
b2 - 4.45
b3 - 7.35
etc.

which should be 14 hours and 17 minutes.

any help would be great appreciated.
