Default Can't add pay rates

am trying to add a new code with pay rates to a range titled EmployeesList
on worksheet titled Parameters. When I type in the new code in the next row
down from the existing codes it aligns itself on the right hand side of the
cell. Allof the other codes are on the left hand side with formatting of
number and general alignment. When I change the new codes format to number
and general alignment it centers it in the middle. When I go to worksheet
Time Entry and type in the new code it comes up with #N/A in the cell where
the rate that is inputted with it on Parameters sheet should show up.

So, instead of trying to add a new code, I changed the number of an old code
and it went from being left indent to right indent and it then came up as
#N/A when I tried to use it.
Please Help!!!

It sounds as though your table might have text representations of numbers in
it. You might try entering the number with an apostrophe in front ('54
instead of 54).

I think you are adding the new code and rate outside the range of
EmployeesList - you can see what range this refers to by Insert | Name
| Define then selecting EmployeesList and the range will be shown in
the bottom panel.

Depending on the formulae which access this table, the codes may have
to be in a particular sequence, so you can't just add them to the
bottom of the ones which already exist. You need to Insert | Cells at
the appropriate place within the table and shift the existing cells
down (assuming a vertical list). This will adjust the range of
EmployeesList automatically, and also take the formatting of the cells
above, so when you enter the code and the pay rate it should look like
the others.

Hope this helps
