Default Password help please

We recently had to let an employee go for cause but he has changed the
password on and excel file so we have no access to this work is there a way
to strip out the password info or must we do the file and sheets all over
agene

send the file to me , i'll crck ur p/w if u can or ask me fo r the tools to
crack it. by the way is the p/w apssword to open?
or password to edit or both?

Hi

Adding to the others: "File Open" passwords are good and almost impossible
to crack without professional help ( = $$$). You may have a legal situation
here; the file may belong to your company and not the employee. If so,
locking it down like that is similar to stealing it.

It would be the employee's property if he made it in unpaid time on private
equipment using personal intellectual property (not code snippets from
company files). If so you should not use it.
