Default How do I protect one cell in a spreadsheet?

How do I protect one cell in a spreadsheet (where approval by a specific user
will be given) and leave the rest of the sheet open to other users? I've
tried using the directions 'Protect worksheet or workbook - Give specific
users acess to protected ranges'. This does not allow other users to use the
sheet if the cell is protected and once the sheet password is used the
protected cell opens. Someone please help

Hi
first select all cells for which you want allow access
- goto 'Format - cells - Protection' and uncheck 'Locked'
- now protect the worksheet
