I need to know how to copy the results of the cummulative claims to the
previous claims row. In order to submit a new claim the previous claims cummulative should be 13,000 and then I need to delete the current claim amount and enter the new claim amount. I get a circular reference when I try to copy since it is a formula. Can anyone help me? Code Description Approved Budget Previous Claims - Cummulative Current Claim Cummulative Claims Remaining Budget i. Salaries 50,000.00 10,000.00 3,000.00 13,000.00 37,000.00 ll. ![]() The only way of checking a circular reference is to look at individual cells to see which references are contained there and follow backwards. You should see a message in the status bar at the bottom "Circular Reference :" and a cell reference to start off with. If you cannot see it, you need to tab through your sheets until you do. Using Tools/Auditing/.... can help with this. Click in a cell and use Trace Precedents or Trace Dependents. -- BrianB ------------------------------------------------------------------------ BrianB's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...info&userid=55 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=274040 |
