Default How do center headings across columns in excel

This newer version does not easily (for me) identify a button for this
function. The button that is similar is "merge and center", but it does not
do what I want to do.

I believe that went out with XL5.0.
The newer versions don't have such a button.

You'll have to select your range, then:

<Format <Cells <Alignment tab,
Expand the "Horizontal" window, and click on the last choice, "Center Across
Selection", then <OK.
