When I enter an equation in c1 such as: =product(a1,b1), when a1 is 1000 and
b1 is .10, the answer in c1 should be 100, but it comes out to 102.04. Why?

Quite possibly because B1 is actually 0.10204 but is set to display only 2
decimal places.

Hi!

Are the values in either A1 or B1 calculated?

I suspect a rounding issue where the displayed value is not the true
underlying value.. Try this and see what you get:

=PRODUCT(ROUND(A1,0),ROUND(B1,2))
