Hi,
I'm sure this is easy, but I'm stumped. I've got a couple of charts comparing columns of data, the second chart being a normalized version of the first one. Normalization is simply multiplying each cell, per column, by a ratio of sums. I want to change the ranges of all the sums, all at once, and I want to do it while keeping my charts visible. I can do it with ctrl-enter, with all the formulas selected, but then I have to scroll back to my charts to see the effect. So I want to construct the SUM() formula so that it refers to a range specified indirectly, so I can just type in the row numbers and see my charts change. I've searched the newsgroup without luck, and played some with INDIRECT() and ADDRESS()... and I'm just not getting it. Help! To make it specific: my data are in B2:CS1491 my SUM formulas are in B1492:CS1492, no relation to Columbus. I want to place, say, 1 in A1 and 1492 in B1 (from where I can see my charts), and watch the charts update. Change B1 to 600 and see it change. Clear? Thanks, --Carl |
