Autofilter number of records
I have a very big spreadsheet. When it goes over 1,000, not all records will
show in filter. It will leave out the records at the bottom of the spreadsheet. I just went to an Excel class, and they said it's probably set to 1,000, but autofilter could actually filter to 60,000 records. How do you change that? -- Ginger |

Ginger, As you have found out auto filter will only show 1000 entries, have
a look here for a workaround http://www.contextures.com/xlautofilter02.html -- Paul B Always backup your data before trying something new Please post any response to the newsgroups so others can benefit from it Feedback on answers is always appreciated! The link you sent me says...
An AutoFilter dropdown list will only show 1000 entries. However, the instructor I had said it would filter up to 60,000 records. Is it that it will filter that many, just not list over 1000? Showing all the unique values and filtering are two different things.
You can only choose from 1000 unique entries, but you can use Custom to do lots of other stuff (equals and type the value you want). Ginger wrote: The link you sent me says...
