can u tell me the procedure to save a macro

Right click on the macro and choose "Export File"

I find the question very ambiguous, hopefully David B, gave you what you wanted.

If you used the macro it either was saved, or it will be saved when you save your
workbook that the macro is in.

The following might help.

and includes help if you have a macro and want to know how to install it.

If the macro is in an open workbook, you should see it listed with Alt+F8
-- private macros are not listed.
