Default Creating Scenarios and Scenario Manager

I have created Scenarios in Excel before and an trying to 'teach myself' from
the Help menu but am getting rather confused.......

Is there a difference between creating a Scenario and using Scenario
Manager?? I understand that the Scenario Manager allows you to create
various scenarios so you can change particualar figures on your worksheet and
it shows you each for comparison. The bit I think I am getting confused with
- do you create the Scenario yourself or is there a formula Excel does for
you???

I'm gettin' a bit lost!!!

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Thanks very much for this, Debra. These examples are much easier to
understand. The others I have read lead me to believe that the Scenarios
themselves are created by Excel too.

Thanks again.

Default Creating Scenarios and Scenario Manager

Hi All

Further to Louise's question... does anybody know why the IRR formula
doesn't appear to calculate when it is one of the output fields under
the Scenario Manager Pivot Table option? (it incorrectly results in the
number "1" under all scenarios)

Thanks in advance

Peter
