Default Working with Dates and "Active Wells".... HELP! very confusing!

Each row above is a different well
The first column is the year the well was first active.
The second column shows the year the well was last active.

I need to make a graph with the data above.

Basically, the x axis needs to be years.
(1982, 1983, 1984...........2012, 2013)

The y axis needs to be the number of ACTIVE wells each year.
For example, the very last well (last row of data) was active from 1987-2013.
And the one before that was active 1986-1989

How can i represent the number of wells that were active each year?

i dont know ANY vba, so if you suggest using vba, please guide me step by step!
