Default how do I link purchase order dates from one excel workbook to ano.

I am an expeditor. I update on a daily basis an excel report with open
orders which the Purchase Order Number, Line Number and date shipped. I also
receive a Recieving Report on a daily basis which I have to manually update
the dates of Purchase Orders that are received. I would like to pull the
updates from the receiving reports into the Open Report. Is there a way I
can do that? Please let me know. I am using Microsoft Excel 2003
