Default x axis labels/scale move to middle of chart w/neg & pos line cht

I have a simple line chart with neg and pos #s from +600,00 to -600,000. The
scale for the x axis is in the middle of the chart, is this normal? Why
doesn't it saty at the bottom of the chart?

Default

the x axis is normally at the Point where Y=0.
to make it go to the bottom select the axis and in patterns select low for
tick mark labels.
