Default How to put color on if function


hi, can anyone help me on how can i make the "fail"(as a result) to
appear in color red. i've included the formula. thanks in advance

=IF(C9<75,"fail","pass")

Hi,

You got to use Format-conditional formatting and use this formula there
and choose your desired format.

Format Conditional Formatting Condition 1 Cell Valve is equal
to fail Format (button) Patterns tab choose the red suqaure
OK

If that is just the font you can use normal cell formatting
for that. See http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/formula.htm

where you will find [Red][0]"No";[Green]"Yes"

so you could use format, number, custom
for cell D9 of [Red][<75]"Fail";"Pass"
formula for D9: =C9
