Hi,
You got to use Format-conditional formatting and use this formula there and choose your desired format. Regards Govind aldrain wrote: hi, can anyone help me on how can i make the "fail"(as a result) to appear in color red. i've included the formula. thanks in advance =IF(C9<75,"fail","pass") |

If that is just the font you can use normal cell formatting
for that. See http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/formula.htm where you will find [Red][0]"No";[Green]"Yes" so you could use format, number, custom for cell D9 of [Red][<75]"Fail";"Pass" formula for D9: =C9 --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel [site changed Nov. 2001] My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "aldrain" wrote in message ... hi, can anyone help me on how can i make the "fail"(as a result) to appear in color red. i've included the formula. thanks in advance =IF(C9<75,"fail","pass") -- aldrain ------------------------------------------------------------------------ aldrain's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=25704 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=391197 |
