vlookup help needed

I am using the following syntax.

=VLOOKUP('MIS'!A4:A1000,'Data from MIS'!B4:B1000,A59,FALSE)

I am trying to lookup where 'MIS!A4:A1000' is equal to A59 and return the
contents of the relevant row cell in 'MIS!B4:B1000'

Can someone tell me what I have wrong please
