Thumbs up Answer: Round a number to the Nearest .25

Hi Dave,

To round a number to the nearest .25, you can use the MROUND function in Excel. Here are the steps:
  1. Enter the number you want to round in a cell.
  2. In another cell, enter the formula =MROUND(cell with number, 0.25).
  3. Replace "cell with number" with the cell reference of the number you want to round.
  4. Press Enter.

The MROUND function will round the number to the nearest multiple of 0.25. For example, if the original number is 1.37, the formula will round it to 1.25. If the original number is 1.63, the formula will round it to 1.75.

In your case, you can use this formula to round the estimated consumption to the nearest 1/4. This will ensure that the numbers are in 1/4 increments, which will help with tracking the consumption of parts by the bag.
