Default hidden names in active workbook

I have a very simple worksheet in which I am storing data such as name;
company; e-mail address etc. My issue is that after altering the size of
some of my cells to accomodate the data and also cutting and pasting info
from another spreadsheet, I now have some cells that have e-mail links in
cells that do not contain e-mail addresses so a new e-mail message box pops
up everytime I click on that box. So it seems as if there is hidden data in
the cells that doesn't correspond with what is in the cell or formula box...

Has anyone encountered this and can I fix it easily?

Thanks!

Try this:

1) Use arrow rather than mouse to select the cell
2) Right click mouse (click right button) and a popup window will show
3) Select "Remove hyperlink'

Hope this helpful.

Thanks - that did work! It will be rather tedious but at least it's a fix
:-). Any idea why this happened? I'd like to avoid repeating my mistake...
